Apollo Expands EPD Portfolio
Three new certified Environmental Product Declarations join Apollo's expanding portfolio, supporting greater eco transparency in the fire industry.
Apollo is excited to announce that three more Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) have been published, joining a growing suite of existing documents providing independently verified environmental data across the full product lifecycle. This aims to help specifiers, consultants and contractors make more informed sustainability decisions.
Among the newly certified products is the XP95 DIN-Rail Mini Switch Monitor Module, a compact interface device designed to monitor volt-free contacts and communicate status information back to the fire control panel. The EPD highlights the module’s compatibility with Apollo’s extensively adopted XP95 range and its use in monitoring one or more single-pole contacts over a single pair of cables, providing flexible integration within fire detection systems.
Alongside the DIN-Rail Mini Switch Module is the Soteria Dimension Optical Smoke Detector. This low-profile detector was developed for aesthetically sensitive environments, and its chamberless design helps reduce dust build-up and minimise unwanted alarms whilst sitting flush to the ceiling. The new EPD provides verified environmental performance data for both black and white variants of the product.
Completing the trio is the XPERT 8 Base, Apollo’s universal mounting base compatible with Soteria, Discovery, and XP95 detectors. The EPD covers white, red and black variants, all of which share the same material composition and environmental profile with a declared service life of 30 years.
Publishing more EPDs is an important step in our journey towards greater environmental transparency. By providing independently verified lifecycle data, we're helping customers make more informed decisions while also giving our design teams deeper insight into where carbon hotspots exist within our products.
These latest EPDs serve to support customers working to meet increasingly stringent sustainability requirements across construction and building projects. By providing this verified environmental data, Apollo is continuing to help the industry assess whole-life carbon impacts while maintaining the highest standards of fire safety performance.
