Apollo Joins UNGC

Apollo Fire Detectors Joins the United Nations Global Compact

Apollo is proud to announce that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact, committing to responsible business practices and supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

At Apollo, sustainability is not a standalone project.

While initiatives such as reducing carbon emissions, improving packaging and increasing recycling rates all play an important role, we believe meaningful progress happens when sustainability becomes part of the way a business operates every day.

That’s why we’re proud to announce that Apollo has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The UNGC brings together organisations from around the globe that are committed to responsible business practices and supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

For Apollo, this is the next step in a journey that has been underway for several years.

Sustainability is already embedded across many areas of our business. From achieving EcoVadis Gold status and expanding our Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), to reducing operational impacts and working more closely with suppliers to improve standards across our value chain, we’ve continued to strengthen our approach and increase transparency for customers and stakeholders alike.

Joining the UN Global Compact formalises our commitment to the Ten Principles covering human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, while creating new opportunities to learn, collaborate and contribute alongside organisations facing many of the same global challenges.

Joining the UN Global Compact reflects Apollo's long-term commitment to doing business responsibly. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important consideration for our customers, employees, suppliers and stakeholders, and we believe businesses have a responsibility to contribute positively to the wider challenges facing society. The UN Global Compact provides a globally recognised framework that supports both accountability and continuous improvement.

The value of the UN Global Compact, however, extends beyond reporting or compliance.

The challenges society faces today are deeply interconnected. Climate change, resource scarcity, human rights, ethics and supply chain resilience cannot be solved by any single company acting alone. The UN Global Compact recognises this reality by creating a platform for collective action, shared learning and systemic improvement across industries and international markets.

As a proud supporter, Apollo looks forward to engaging with the UN Global Compact Network UK and the wider global community, sharing best practice, learning from others and continuing to raise standards across our industry.

Protecting people remains at the heart of what we do, and increasingly, so too does protecting the planet.
