Apollo Welcomes Cranford Controls into the Business
Apollo Fire Detectors and Cranford Controls have united to create a stronger UK fire safety manufacturing force, with a shared focus on quality, precision engineering, and customer support.
We’re pleased to announce the successful integration of Cranford Controls into the business, bringing together two established British fire safety manufacturers with a shared commitment to engineering excellence, innovation and customer service.
By combining our expertise in intelligent fire detection with Cranford Controls’ specialist capabilities in audio-visual alarm devices, evacuation solutions and fire door control products, we’re creating a broader and more complementary life-safety offering for customers across the UK and international markets.
This is an exciting step forward for both businesses. By bringing together Apollo's expertise in fire detection with Cranford's specialist knowledge of audio-visual alarm and evacuation solutions, we can deliver greater value to our customers and create a stronger platform for future growth. Just as importantly, we are combining two organisations with shared values around quality, engineering excellence and UK manufacturing.
The Cranford Controls brand will be retained, with its product range continuing to be manufactured at their Alton site and available through existing distributor channels. Associated documentation and product support will now be available from Apollo.
For our shared customers, the integration will also make purchasing simpler. From 2 November 2026, both Apollo and Cranford Controls products can be placed on a single purchase order.
