The school was scheduled for a fire alarm system, and needed a system that could deliver comprehensive fire detection and alarm coverage.
The Challenge
Denmead Junior School was scheduled for a fire alarm system upgrade to ensure continued compliance and reliable protection across the site. During this period, asbestos was identified in parts of the roof that required careful management while maintaining the highest safety standards. The project demanded a system that could deliver comprehensive fire detection and alarm coverage, including in areas where asbestos precautions limited access and installation flexibility.
The Solution
SFA Fire & Security implemented a tailored fire safety system using a range of Apollo products to meet the school’s specific needs. REACH detection and manual call points were used in areas affected by asbestos, providing reliable operation while adhering to safety restrictions. The installation also featured Soteria Heat and Smoke Detectors, OAAV Visual Alarm Devices (VADs), and Apollo’s new sounder bases. Together, these solutions ensured seamless integration, dependable performance, and full coverage across the school during and after the upgrade.
